Burnby Hall Gardens near Pocklington, York is the ideal place to release your inner Monet. There are waterlilies and lakes, fish and wildfowl, reflections and colours galore but it also has the convenience of sheltered seating areas, perfect for a day's painting whatever the weather.
'The Upper and Lower Lakes are home to a National Collection of over 100 varieties of Hardy Water Lily, and offer a wonderful array of changing vistas. The Gardens also include a Rockery, Stumpery, a Victorian Garden, Secret Garden, formal beds and natural shrubbery'.
Day One;
Meet at Redbrick Mill car park at 8.45am, register and load equipment into the minibus. Drive to Burnby Hall and arrive for 10.00am when it opens. Paint until lunchtime and then eat our packed lunches together or food can be bought at the Lilypad Cafe.
Continue painting in the afternoon and return to Redbrick Mill at 6.00pm.
Day Two;
Continue painting at Redbrick Studio until 4.00pm and then share the work and develop suggestions for further progress.
Finish at 4.30pm.
