COASTAL LANDSCAPE COURSE
One day painting and drawing on the East coast followed by two days in the studio continuing the work.

DAY ONE - SATURDAY 27 AUGUST
Meet at Redbrick Mill at 7.00am. Load equipment etc. onto minibus. Depart to Flamborough Head and Thornwick Bay at 7.30am.
Collect information through painting, drawing and photographs.
Bring a packed lunch and drink.
6pm Fish and Chips at Bridlington Harbour - take photographs, draw harbour and fishing boats.
Arrive back at Redbrick Mill approx 9pm.
DAY TWO - SUNDAY 28 AUGUST
Start 10.00am
Work in the studio at Redbrick Mill, priming, underpainting and blocking in composition.
Brief demonstration on use of glazes to create atmosphere and mood in your landscape.
Packed lunch
Finish 4.30pm
DAY THREE - MONDAY 29 AUGUST
Start 10.00am
Work in the studio developing painting.
Packed lunch
Plenary and review of work
Finish 4.30pm
Check List for materials on Day One. This list is not exclusive or essential, for example you may like to travel light with just a notebook and a camera.
Small Canvases - dark primed and ready.
Paint - Acrylic - choose a few essential colours
Palette, Water pot(s), Bottle of water.
Limited number of brushes and palette knives and scrapers.
Rags / Towel Roll
Atomiser Spray to keep palette wet.
Carrier bag for rubbish.
Folding chair or small cushion (put cushion in carrier bag to stop it getting dirty).
Sketching easel
Insect repellant
Appropiate clothes (long sleeves, sensible shoes, etc.)
Camera
Lunch and drink.
