Christmas in the studio

I've had an image in my mind for quite awhile now so I thought I would use this Christmas break to try and realize it. The problem is getting that elusive, fluid notion in your head onto canvas in a form that makes sense whilst at the same time allowing for other opportunties that might enhance and further develop the idea(s).

Anyway I thought I would just launch in and see if something started to emerge, this is the painting after two days and the final image has had a little help from my three year old grandson who fancied a go with a roller and some dark blue paint. Presently I'm working in acrylic with some collage additions, eventually I'll develop it further with oil paint.
