Crash Site - revisited
I can't resist tinkering with my paintings especially when the majority of their content is invented. Anyone who paints will realize that after awhile you lose objectivity and your judgement becomes flawed, I like to think that after some time with the painting put away I can see the image afresh and consequently make bold, radical and necessary changes.
This painting, 'Crash Site', has been through such a process and yesterday I made some serious changes, in my view for the better. I don't think it's exactly finished but it's not far away from being resolved and I have a much clearer idea of what it's actually about. It should be fun painting but sometimes it's just damn hard work and stressful.

How it was before it was changed.
